Are women portrayed as objects to look at??

“Equality” has been the notion on which feminists have been arguing and discussing in every walk of life. Women nowadays have mastered in every field known to mankind. In every organization you will find a woman working along men.the question here arises have women been able to reduce the gap between men and women or has the gap increased. Is equality really a problem or is it a notion just created by women themselves.

Nowadays women are being given a lot of scope in media.wehther you go through a news channel or a morning show women are everywhere. My analysis is a bit different from all the feminists. I believe women are being represented to a great extent in media, but women are not taking this to their advantage. Rather they are presenting themselves as glamorized objects to stare at.

Women are hosting many talk shows on television but the talk shows don’t really have any output for the people rather our women in the society are being lured towards what the host is wearing. For example Nadia khan show its content totally revolves around clothes in my view. Women rather then learning anything only ask for her clothes are impressed by their hairstyle etc.

If we look at it from a different perspective women probably still are being neglected to an extent. The stereotype has still not been broken that women can actually perform better then men. What ever the women in media do it is always looked with a negative perspective. Flaws are searched in it but nobody has the ability to accept that the work actually might be good.

However some women have represented themselves quite well. If we look at political talk shows hosts like najam zehra have achieved quite a lot of respect. She has been able t break the stereo type that women only know how to dress up and look good. as people said women are beauty without brains but she has been able to prove it wrong.

Then we can’t only say that she alone shows a positive picture of women in media because the positive point for women are still far less then the negative.
